
RELICS OF ST. OLIVER PLUNKETT TO VISIT KILMORE DIOCESAN PASTORAL CENTRE IN CAVAN
First class relics of St. Oliver Plunkett will visit the Chapel of the Diocesan Pastoral Centre in Cavan on Tuesday 6 June 2017.
The relics will arrive at the Centre at 10:00a.m. and will be available for veneration until 10:00p.m. that evening.
There will be a lunch-time Mass in the Chapel at 1:15p.m. offered by Fr. Kevin Fay, Chaplain to Loreto and St. Patrick’s Colleges in Cavan, for those doing examinations at this time.
Fr. Ultan McGoohan, Diocesan Director of Pastoral Services, will celebrate Mass at 5:45p.m. and deliver the homily.
Bishop Leo O’Reilly of Kilmore, will be the principal celebrant and homilist at the 8:00p.m. Mass. The music for this Mass will be provided by the St. Mary’s Church Choir, Carrigallen, Co. Leitrim.
There will also be opportunities to avail of the Sacrament of Reconciliation during the course of the day from 12 noon to 1:00p.m.; 4:30p.m. to 5:30p.m.; and 6:30p.m. to 7:45p.m.
All are welcome for this very special event which is being organised by the Kilmore Diocesan Pastoral Centre with the assistance of the Knights of Saint Columbanus.

7.30pm. Entrance Procession of The National Statue of Our Lady of Fatima, followed by Mass and investiture with Brown scapular.
Tuesday 22nd August.
10.00am. Mass, followed by meditation on Glorious mysteries of the Rosary.
7.30pm. Mass, celebrated by Bishop Leo O’Reilly, followed by blessing with relics of Saints Jacinta and Francesca.
Wed 23rd August
10.00am. Mass, followed mediation on Luminous mysteries of the Rosary.

Guest speakers this year include:
The first ever Kilmore Diocesan Youth Day will take place in the Diocesan Pastoral Centre, Cavan. Aimed at 12-18 Year Olds, the programme will begin 1.30pm.
The Redemptorist Youth Group, ‘Scala’, will lead the young people in workshops until 5 o’clock. Following that ‘I am Worship’ a band from Belfast, will lead the young people in Music Ministry.
There will be a pizza party at 6.00pm, before proceeding to Cavan Cathedral for 7.30pm Mass. Fr. Patrick Cahill will speak at the mass, at which “I am worship” will lead the singing.
There is no cost for the day.
All are welcome, especially family and relatives of recently deceased priests.
