Seán Maguire was ordained a priest by Bishop Leo O'Reilly on Sunday 24th June in the Cathedral of Saints Patrick and Felim, Cavan. It was a day of thanksgiving and joy for Seán, for his family and friends, and for the diocese of Kilmore. The last ordination of a priest for the diocese of Kilmore took place in 2004. Seán is a native of Carrickacromin in the parish of Laragh. He attended primary school in Tunnyduff, post-primary school in Bailieborough and third level in St Patrick's College, Maynooth. Fr Seán's celebrated his first Mass of Thanksgriving in St Brigid's Chuch, Laragh, on Monday 25th June at 8.00pm.
