Current and former Presidents and Principals, members of staff, Board of Management (past and present), and students of St. Patrick’s College led by the principal, Mr. Christopher Rowley, attended a special Mass of Thanksgiving  in The Conaty Chapel in the Kilmore Diocesan Pastoral Centre recently to mark the retirement of the Most Reverend Leo O’Reilly as Bishop of Kilmore.

Bishop O’Reilly was a past student as well as a member of the teaching staff and also Patron of the College.

He was the principal celebrant assisted by Canon John Murphy P.E., Fr. John McTiernan, Fr. Kevin Fay, Fr. John Gilhooly, Fr. Donal Kilduff and Fr. Andrew Tully who preached at the Mass.

After Mass, lunch was served in the canteen of the new St. Patrick’s College during which a number of presentations were made to Bishop O’Reilly, by the Board of Management, the Parents’ Association, and the Student Body.
