Reflections on COVID-19 from St. Patrick’s College, Maynooth: 

Faculty members (Philosophy and Theology) at the Pontifical University of St. Patrick’s College in Maynooth have been reflecting on the impacts of the coronavirus from its social, human, philosophical and theological perspectives.  A number of Faculty members have had articles published in national and local newspapers as well as some in the religious press.

In the first in a series of articles over the next number of months, the following are attached:

  • Fr. Michael Shortall’s has written a very personal piece reflecting on the grieving process he and his family experienced following the death of his father during the lockdown
  • Gaven Kerr’s article offers a philosophical perspective which examines the existence of God in the Coronavirus crisis
