Inspired by LAUDATO SI’ Encyclical Letter written by POPE FRANCIS ON CARE FOR OUR COMMON HOME

The earth is a common home for humanity. It is a gift from God. Pope Francis challenges all people to praise and thank God for creation and to work together to safeguard her.

“All of us can cooperate as instruments for the care of creation, each according to his or her own culture, experience, involvements and talents” (Laudato Si’14).

“Because all creatures are connected, each must be cherished with love and respect, for all of us as living creatures are dependent on one another” (LS 42).

On Saturday, 29th July 2023, the Kilmore Care of Creation group and special guests participated in the Cottage Market, Cavan, Summer Street Market, as part of the Cavan Calling Global Diaspora Homecoming Festival. Raising awareness and promoting care for the earth, the group engaged with members of the public on ways in which each and every one of us can be agents of positive change when it comes to addressing the climate emergency and the biodiversity crisis.
