On Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 October next, the parish of Mullagh will commemorate the first anniversary of the historic event of the arrival of the relics of St Kilian and his companions in the parish last year.
- Saturday 4 October at 7:00a.m. – St. Kilian’s Way, a 36km walk starts and finishes at St. Kilian’s Heritage Centre. Join in for 6km, 13km, 26km or 36km. Light refreshments, water bottle refill and toilets at Greaghlough (13km), and Cloughbally Lower (25km). Toilet also at Hollow Lane (19km). Cost €20. Registration on Friday 3 October from 7:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. or on Saturday 4 October from 6:00a.m. to 6:45a.m. at the Heritage Centre, Mullagh
- Saturday 4 October at 10:30a.m. – A musical workshop with Ronan McDonagh. Liturgical Music Rooted in the Irish Tradition Venue: Mullagh National School. Ronan is a native of Kiltimagh, Co. Mayo and is immersed in traditional Irish music, winning All-Ireland titles at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann and Slógadh. He is an organist from the Schola Cantorum, St. Finian’s College, Mullingar, and studied under Professor Gerard Gillen at Dublin’s Pro-Cathedral.
