‘The College Boys’ was lauched at St Patrick’s College, Cavan, on 12th June 2008.

The book was co-authored by Francis McKiernan, former Bishop of Kilmore and by Raymond Dunne.  Both authors are past pupils of St Patrick’s College and both are former members of the teaching staff.

Unfortunately Bishop McKiernan did not live to see the book published; he died on 23rd December 2005.  Raymond Dunne completed the editing and brough the work to publication.

Pictured at the launch, beside a portrait of Bishop McKiernan, are Bishop Leo O’Reilly, Raymond Dunne and Cardinal Seán Brady.

The launch took place in St Patricks College with a large gathering of past pupils, past and present staff, members of Cumann Seanchais Bhreifne and many people who have associations with St Patricks.

Cardinal Seán Brady, past pupil and former teacher, launched the book.

It is published by Cumann Seanchais Bhreifne

Bishop Leo O’Reilly’s Address at the launch.
