In the year 1838 a church known as ‘the mountain chapel’ was in the process of being built. The present church was built in 1890 and rededicated on 9th April of that year, while Edward O’Reilly was parish priest. Extensive renovations were carried out on it in 1956. A grotto of Our Lady of Fatima is in the process of being erected.
